On May 16th, I, a member of the Autonomous Region Political Consultative Committee, Ma Xuejun, along with my entourage, visited our Sanduqing Base to investigate the innovative technology in grass seed industry.

I listened to Director Jin Zhe's report on the institute's technological innovation in the field of grass seed industry. I placed special emphasis on the inspection of the National Germplasm Forage Mid-term Repository, Yangcao Resource Nursery, and the Grassland Museum. I gained a thorough understanding of the current development status and the policy bottlenecks that the Inner Mongolia grass seed industry is facing in its quest for high-quality growth. I, Ma Xuejun, commend the achievements of the Grassland Institute and emphasize its reliance on the Autonomous Region's "Science and Technology Revitalizing Inner Mongolia" initiative. The institute is dedicated to the collection and evaluation of germplasm resources, as well as the cultivation of new varieties. It fully leverages the leading and demonstrative role of the research base to contribute significantly to the promotion of high-quality development in the Autonomous Region's grass seed industry.

Let me emphasize, the key to high-quality development in the seed industry lies in technological progress and innovation. It's crucial to fully recognize the importance and urgency of revitalizing the seed industry, and we must harness the capabilities of the national team in grassland technology. We need to focus on breaking through key technologies and bottlenecks in the grass seed industry, fighting the good fight for the seed industry's transformation, and achieving self-reliance and self-improvement in seed industry technology and source control.

During the visit, we had a distinguished group with us. Zhang Diansheng, a member of the Autonomous Region Political Consultative Committee and the Party Group of the Department of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, was there. Fu Yongwen, a member of the Party Group of the Department of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, was present, as well as Liu Guilin and Wu Jianmin, Deputy Directors of the Department of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry. Zhang Jianzhong, the Chief Agronomist of the Inner Mongolia Academy of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Sciences, joined us, along with Sha Yongmei, an Associate Professor in the Economics Department of the Inner Mongolia Party School. Zhao Yonghua, the Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry of the Autonomous Region, was also part of our delegation. From the City Political Consultative Committee, we had Li Jiong, Gao Ruijun, Wang Bin, and Li Dong, who serves as the Director of the Economic Commission. Zhang Zhilin, the Director of the Population, Resources, Environment, and Agriculture Committee, also accompanied us. Additionally, we were joined by Zhang Yinglu, the Deputy Director of the Grassland Institute, Lin Kejian, and Wang Chuan.
